ARP has had numerous requests to change the “SPLIT PIN” to a longer version as the Split Pin we had been using was too short and difficult to remove and insert when a Lineman was wearing gloves. ARP now has a 1.950” Long Pin installed on every insulator that requires the use of a split pin whether it is a Distribution or Transmission Insulator.
